CEQA/NEPA Planner

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS or graduate degree in environmental studies, biology, or planning. 
  • MUST have four (4) years minimum experience preparing and processing California CEQA/NEPA/ESR assessment and compliance documentation. 
  • Four (4) years minimum experience processing regulatory permits. 
  • Excellent technical writing and analytical skills.  
  • Capable of working remotely with minimal supervision. 
  • Familiarity with GPS data collection and navigation technology. 
  • Working knowledge of GIS software/geospatial technology.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Immediate focus will be on preparation of Initial Studies pursuant to CEQA and Permit Applications as required by California and federal regulatory agencies.  
  • Team with engineers, site designers, urban planners and other specialists engaged in private and public projects.  
  • Assist with formulation of work programs, budgets, proposals, and workflow. 

Work Environment 

The position operates remotely, in-office, or hybrid. This role routinely requires availability of standard office equipment. Some travel, attending meetings, briefings, and hearings, and giving presentations in person and through online meeting programs is required. Compliance with all travel and in-person safety policies is a must.
